So we say thanks and goodbye to George and Molly the cat.
We have lightened our load a bit and left some things behind at Georges to pick up in a couple of weeks.
Off to Oxford today.
I’ve always wanted to visit Oxford, being a big fan of Colin Dexter's novels that are set in Oxford and I have only just reread them in anticipation!
Colin Dexter of course wrote the Inspector Morse novels, which then inspired the TV series, and more recently the spin offs, Lewis and Endeavour.
Oxford is also the birthplace of Middle Earth, Narnia and Wonderland. (JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis and Lewis Carrol being all Oxford scholars).
But, where are the ‘dreaming spires’? Its more like teeming rain.
Staying in a B&B on Banbury road, about a 10 minute bus ride to the centre of town…
