National Motoring Heritage Day 2011

It was a cold day with a beautiful blue sky for our latest outing with the Car Club.

This event was to celebrate Motoring Heritage Day and started with a display and picnic lunch in Curtis park.

Following the display there was a observation run. We were given a list of questions and we needed to find and identify landmarks along the road to answer them.

We didn’t do very well as I got confused by the instruction's and missed half the questions!

Not to worry, I was able to keep myself entertained by making up witty but wrong answers to the missed questions!

I finished this quilt just in the nick of time. Finished it on the Friday to take to the Car Club craft night on the Saturday night and he was born that night!

I didn’t get to do the traditional clothesline shot as I had to quickly wrap it up to take it to the hospital with us on the Sunday!

But I have started a new tradition --- quilts with feet !  – see photo, ha, ha…. and how did that Alfie dog sneak into the shot!
