Berlin - Samstag

Before I get to tell you about Berlin Dear Readers I just want to share some pics of some of the stations and the decorations.

Above is Leipzig and below is the Hauptbahnhof in Berlin.

Okay, so we only have one night in Berlin and we are staying at the Ibis, which is new so fairly upmarket for an Ibis.

As we only have one afternoon, and we have both been to Berlin before (me in 2011 and Graham several times) we are off to visit some familiar places.

Above is Checkpoint Charlie, and it even has a Christmas tree!

Then we went to see the panorama picture of the wall, which is new since our last visit

And we paid a visit to the Brandenburg Gate.

It is 4.30pm.

But the weathers good, its been pleasant the last few days. Still need 3 layers, coat, gloves, scarf, hat. There is an art to stripping off layers  in restaurants.

Halfway through the trip and we are feeling a little weary tonight.

Looking forward to Amsterdam as we are there for 4 nights so can have a little rest!
