Bet you wish you'd bought one of these when they were just 25 pounds?

Today we went to the Banksy exhibition at Moore Park in Sydney.

Really interesting, and shows that just because it started as graffiti doesn't mean the artist isn't gifted and imaginative.

AND you could take photos! YEY!

So here are some great pics to share with you...

I love this below!

Warning! There is an elephant in the room!

He would sell his limited edition prints for really cheap prices. 25, 33, 100 pounds.
Now worth approx 75 000.00 pounds.

Most of his work is very political, and witty.

Below- he wanted to paint a cow.
I guess when he said "I want to paint your cows" I expect the farmers were expecting something more like a Constable work of art, rather than what they got below.
It was painted with safe for animal paint!

Then one night, he went into Trafalgar Square in London and created the below work.

This was done in easy to remove paint, so if they got sprung it could be quickly washed away leaving no evidence, thus, in theory, avoiding arrest.!

I wonder if he was a Terry Pratchett fan?

And he got in a lot of strife when he printed these pound notes with Princess Diana,
which was totally illegal.
'Di Faced Tenners'

Well capitalism was also alive in the Banksy gift shop.
$40 for a cheap looking t-shirt! humph.

This picture below would have been funny on a t-shirt.

Well this is a just a wee bit fancy. In Sydney.

We are staying a few nights in Sydney.

Our room is on the 16th floor and the people look like little ants scurrying around Hyde Park.

From the window this morning I was watching a lady walking her little dog  and another lying on the grass, it was as if I was viewing a moving diorama.

A few minutes later, we went down in the lift and WE were also at ground level and there was the same lady walking her dog and the other on the grass. We were walking in the diorama!

I could go a long way with these musings on the surreal My Dear Readers but I'll contain myself!

We are staying at the Pullman.

Now it's time for the holiday! Sydney, Canberra and South Coast.

Well, now we are off on a trip between family events.

We start in Sydney for a few nights, then to Canberra for Floriade.
 And then we don't know!

But, we have to be back at Cathy's on the Friday before Andrew and Hailey's Wedding.

But first we had a recovery day from Mum's party.

The girls are still getting their moneys worth out of those balloons.

Reminds me of the Banksy artwork....

Snort,,, this is a 'lead in' to a yet to come post!

Mum's Birthday High Tea 2019

Above- Mum, me and Cathy at the photo booth at the High Tea.
Hello Dear Readers

After lots of planning we have had my mothers birthday weekend in Sydney.
(its her 80th, not allowed to advertise that).
It started with a family dinner on Saturday night at the Fourmo Restaurant.

And now you are cordially invited to the main event!

As mentioned numerous times already, this was a High Tea for 50 of Mum's friends and relatives.
Downton Abbey style.

As my sister and I are busy people, we had it catered. They supplied all the food and pretty china.

Lovely food!

The cake was made by Mum & Dad's next door neighbour.

And we had a photo booth, so we could all dress up silly and get our photos taken!

Above- Surely Edie's not rolling her eyes at me?! Hummmmm.

And as thank you gifts for the guests
'Have another cuppa on us'
Three teabags in pretty packaging assembled by me!

Very successful day, well so everyone keeps tells me!
Thanks Cathy, for all your work.

And now Graham and I are off on a holiday!...

A car for the wolves in my life.....

Hi again, My Dear Readers.

Its my new car!

Now, I don't buy a new car very often, the last one was 2008, which was pre-blog.
So excuse me for bragging.
(I started this blog in 2010, the blog it will be 10 years old in January)

So I have bought a very sensible Volkswagen Golf, wagon, in Port Macquarie.

This is so I can transport the wolves (doggies) more safely, in the back, in crates.
I should blog about the antics of these doggies in the car, I'll put that on the to do list.
 Huh! Says Miss Lizzie.

Great car buying experience.
Very happy and excited about my new car.

And, when we picked it up it was beautifully clean and serviced with 37km on the clock.

After the big drive home it has 301km on it and it is very, very, dirty. Bugs and dust.
Can't wash it due to water restrictions.
(It STILL, hasn't RAINED)!!!!

Still need to swap the plates to my KIM plates.

Does anyone have a Mondeo shaped hole in their life?
I've got one that could fill it! One owner since new, 2007 model, only 63000 on the ODO.

I should blog about all the cars I have owned and known.... I'll also put that on the to-do list.

Do you name your cars?

All my cars have had a name, Graham thinks I'm a bit odd.
(Can't say bonkers, nuts or crazy here, as its not appropriate mental health language).

This one will be The Wolf Wagon!
Das Wolf Wagon or Der Wolf Wagon? I'll have to ask Andrew.

Wolfie!
