A confession.
We are now back home and I have so much more to share!
I was so far behind with my posts, especially when we got to Egypt because it was just go go go.
Yalla Yalla! (Lets go in Egyptian Arabic).

Still to come...
Liverpool
Temples
Pyramids
Valley of the Kings
Jordan
Dead Sea
Petra
Maya Maya (100% or wonderful wonderful)
But first the Maya Maya city of Glasgow.
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum

It was only a quick train ride from Sterling to Glasgow so we dropped off our luggage at the hotel before the check in.
This time we managed to negotiate the public transport and took a train then a bus to Kelvingrove.
As soon as we got off the bus I said, "oh, I've been here before".
Not physically but virtually. When I read a novel and it describes a real place I like to go on google maps and have a look at it... I can't remember what book it was, possibly a Val McDermid, but the characters met here in the cafe to discuss something murderous I'm sure!
A stuffed elephant and a spitfire together! Who'd thought!
The elephants name is Sir Roger and was in a traveling show until 1897 when he went to the zoo in Glasgow. He's a local celebrity.
A new place for me, and much nicer than I thought, although Graham says it has changed a lot. It was derelict after industry left and the ports closed, now its a bright shining city, still with nice old bits.
Below. Evil Angel, very Whovian.
We are about to learn a lot more about Glasgow's industrial past, but that will be tomorrows story. (Sometimes its nice to write in retrospect).
The organ recital was on while we were in the galleries.
So to annoy Graham I pretended to have lightsaber. Buzz, buzz, swish, zoom.
Hang on, I think, its international Star Wars day.
May the forth be with you..
Then back the same way to our hotel.
Not the same view as the last place, but it was interesting watching the pigeons get into mischief. Any hole in a wall and they were into it. Funny that pigeons are the same everywhere in the world, sparrows too. Seagulls are different, they are huge in the UK.
Funny, I write a lot more in a post when I can do it in retrospect.
And, I've managed to mention Doctor Who and Star Wars in one post,
so bonus points for me!
