Last day on a train, at least for a little while anyway.
Not that we are fed up with trains – but we are fed up with lugging our luggage.
Today we took the 3 hour trip from Milan to Rome.
A very plush and very fast train.
(we may be back on a train to get back to London at the end of our cruise as we priced the flights and they are expensive)
Arrived in Rome and we had an interesting cultural experience on the Rome Metro.
It was jammed packed and we had to get on with our suitcases and then up stairs.
Push, shove, swear etc.
(But it only took 20 minutes from getting off the fast train at Rome Central to inside our hotel room and it only cost 2 euro)
But the Hotel is nice and we had a group meeting and met the others in the tour group.
A big group, 53. Mostly Americans, a few Canadians and 1/2 dozen Aussies.
We went for a walk before dinner and this was around the corner from our hotel.
Looks like it needs a bit of repair work. ha ha
Until next time, Kim
