Weekend in Stanthorpe Queensland to visit Law Dogs

Hellooo,  Dear Readers, I know I'm a stranger!

I'm so behind with my blog at the moment, but I will catch up eventually.

Anyway - lets start,

this post is about our trip in July to Stanthorpe in Queensland with the car club.

Car club aka - Classic and specialist car club of northern N.S.W., inc, - (snort, they won't change the name....we have tried )
http://www.csccnnsw.com.au

Lunch was in Tenterfield with a visit to our sister club and their soon to be opened car museum.

Well you never know, pigs may fly and Armidale will also get a museum... maybe before I retire so I can volunteer there.

Above:- Okay, so most of us got lost on the way to the next stop,
which is Australia's oldest cork tree.

Q.How you can loose it?
 A.I don't know as it's jolly enormous!

You know, I am really naughty, and have a chuckle about the plan to visit some of these things we see  with the car club, and then usually they turn out to be friggin amazing!!!!

... and the bark was beautiful.

So then off to Stanthorpe.
Dinner in one of the clubs, can't remember which one,  RSL?.. But they had a little bus to pick us up and take us home.... BONUS!

DAY TWO
Bonnets up - never a good sign.

So we left that one behind...

But the owners Bob and Lucy hitched a ride to the next venue.

Which was Lawdogs.

This is a business that trains dogs for the police, security dogs and recently they have been training truffle sniffing dogs.

Truffle's are one of those things that you either love or hate. I love truffles, and also I love Vegemite, (as its one of those type of things, you either love or hate it,  get my drift here Dear Readers).

Below is Graham pulling the truffle from a bucket that the truffle dog had found. I don't remember the dogs name , but it was a rescue dog, cost them nearly nothing, and now she's trained for truffle hunting is worth thousands...

Above, is a large truffle recently found, worth about $3000. (Its in his hand...sigh)

And then they introduced us to the dogs and we had the show.
But they are really sooks at heart - see below...

And, can be really cute.

And ... the drive home was a bit tedious..

But you never know, it might happen to us one day.

And ... I'm not going to mention our new relationship with the QLD police force!
