FLORENCE–ITALY – We visit Assisi

We said “Ciao Roma” and travelled to Florence today.

We stopped for lunch at the ancient town of Assisi, the place founded by St Francis and the Francesco monks.

One of Saint Francis's Miracles was that he preached to the birds which is why he is the patron saint of birds and small creatures.

(Graham went *snort* at this, Kim said “SShhh, we are surrounded by Catholics”)

Excited about exploring Florence tomorrow.

We stopped at a lookout to take some photos tonight.
