Dear Readers, someone needs to save the citizens of Leipzig. Their Christmas market is out of control.
It has broken out of the containment of the town square and has oozed its way through all the main streets and its reached the Opera House were it erupts into a miasma of light, sound and cinnamon smells.
Fortunately, we were able to appease the sparkling Goddess of Christmas Markets, by making some purchases and she kindly allowed us to slip out through the crowds and back to our room.
Some things are the same the world over, a funny Santa getting the kids up on stage to sing Christmas carols, and fluff the lines so everyone laughs….
We have a room that we booked on Air B&B. Lovely place, a short walk to town, they neglected to tell us that they were on the top floor and there are 5 flights of a spiral staircase to negotiate. Anyway its keeping Graham fit, dragging the 2okg cases up the 79 stairs. (he counted them)…
Not to mention the 5 to 10 kilometres we are walking everyday.
