Kim's favourite bird photo of the past 10 years and possible one of my favourite ever photos.
So here we are in the Children's garden at Osbourne House. Prince Albert designed this garden and had a little swiss chalet installed for the royal children to learn to garden and learn (somewhat) normal domestic stuff.
As we visited on a cold early January day, there were very few visitors, and this little bird just popped onto a twig next to us to check us out. I guess they are used to people picnicking and alike.
Snapped a couple of quick pics, it posed!
Unlike many birds, both the female and the male have the red breast. They are also very territorial, so it might have been telling us off!
