Day three
Everybody is waking up at the crack of dawn so no problems being ready for the morning briefing. Its going to be a hot day.
First stop today was picnic point, to admire the view and take some photos.
Then it was off to Spring Bluff station for morning tea.
This is a real working station – but a pretty one.
It nearly washed away in the 2011 flood, but it has since been restored.
Then on the trip back to Toowoomba it was chaos with lots of wrong turns and cars going all sorts of directions. However we eventually all found the gardens although the flower beds had finished for spring.
Beautiful trees… although a couple in the group got ticks.
A baby cocky.. waiting for mum
Then it was off to Scotty’s Garage (the shed of the day)…
Not only does he have cars and bikes…
But also a 1950’s style diner.
So there were a lot of milkshake cravings.
And we missed the Melbourne cup because we thought it was on at 3pm and forgot about the time difference.
Don’t think I’d like to live out here, too hot, isolated and the whole area looks ready for a bushfire to go whoooosh through it!
Google earth were also there to take photos so I guess this pic will eventually turn up on the web.
