Sydney 2022 - Penn & Teller

 

Here is the first post about our recent trip to Sydney.

Because it was the main reason for the trip, this post is about seeing the magicians Penn & Teller at the Sydney Opera House.

We were also lucky enough to be in Sydney for Vivid 

and I'll devote the whole next post to the rest of the Vivid photos. 

 

We have been trying to see Penn & Teller for years,

but their shows kept getting cancelled due to COVID.

They were amazing!

My favourite trick was the love ritual.

Before the show everyone in the audience had to pick 4 playing cards.

Then they led us through a sequence of tearing the cards in half, throwing the top one away, putting one close to your heart, swapping one half with your neighbour, throwing the top one away, (onto the heads of those sitting below us) until you were left with 2 half cards.

 The theatre was littered with 1000's of torn playing cards , it was hilarious.
