My Quilt World - "Daydream Believer" - Finished cot quilt
This is the cot quilt that I have made for my new nephew.
This was a CHEAP project.....It is a traditional kaleidoscope block and is made of scraps and leftover fabrics. Apart from the backing which is a Sesame Street flannel that I bought on special!(online from eQuilter.com)
I call it a "chew and spew" quilt because its not intended to last forever and I would rather see it loved and used.I've used many novelty prints which include, dogs and cats, fortune cookies, the Wiggles, Tigger, Star Wars and bright prints. I felt the name "Daydream Believer" suited it and have printed the words from the Monkees song of the same name on the label.
The most tedious part of this project was the quilting which I did on my sewing machine, gosh its a chore pushing and pulling the quilt in the hot weather --- so glad I can now afford to have larger quilts professionally quilted! My dream would be my own quilting frame and new a sewing machine, oh to win the lottery!
