Another beautiful day for a boat ride on the Nile.
If only I can stop hitting my head nearly every time I get on a boat!
Above is an example of how most cruise ships on the Nile are docked. You need to walk through other ships to go ashore. Viking doesn't do that, theirs are all single private docks, fenced and gated.
These below are the Aswan rapids.
The 'vultures' were out on the water in boats trying to sell us stuff. The police shooed them away.
Then after an hours boat trip we reached our destination of a Nubian village.
We visited a family home.
Even the hose had a shop and some of the ladies got henna tattoos.
Who is that for sale at the shop, in the house at the Nubian village? Blimey its Bingo. They truly are global superstars.
Then the coaches met us for a short trip to the school. These ladies with the baskets on their heads are trying to sell us stuff, one dolla one dolla, and they were aggressive.
The children are learning, Arabic, Nubian and English.
Then back on the coach to meet another motor boat for a short ride to the island were we visited Philae Temple. Thus is where I finally got to buy some souvenir for the grand kids.

This temple was moved so it wouldn't be flooded by the Aswan dam.

Gosh its just information overload...
Then we visited a papyrus shop and bought another expensive souvenir.
Then back to the ship at 1:30 for lunch.
Then we set sail for Kom Ombo so bye bye Aswan.
But wait..
There's more, the days not over as we have another temple to visit when we get to Kom Ombo at 4:30.

Below is our guide Caroline showing us the surgical instruments.
This is a cute thing below!
Congratulations if you got to the end of that epic post. Tomorrow is our last full day on the ship with one last temple. We sail to Edfu tonight.
